Infernal Assault Interview

                                                                Infernal Assault

Infernal Assault is Thrash Metal band from L.A. These guys are easily one of the best Thrash bands to come out of L.A.  Here's my interview with Chris the bassist of Infernal Assault!!

1. Hey Chris thanks for doing this interview. What are you currently listening to?

Chris: Yeah no problem. Right now I'm listening to Coroner!
2. Infernal Assault formed in 2007 how did you guys form?
Chris: It started when Oscar wrote couple of songs and his sister came up with the name "Infernal Assault". Then I joined in for bassist. Then we've gotten 2 of our friends Ramses as rhythm guitarist, and Austin as drums and ex lead guitarist from Arsenal from Venice Beach

3. You have had quite a bit of line up changes but you and Oscar are the original members right?

Chris: Yes, me and Oscar are the original members

4. Natural Selection is killer!! How was the recording process?

Chris: Thanks. The recording process took months because we have jobs and Oscar had 2 jobs plus school. It was a hassle but we finally got the job done.

5. Out of everything you have released do you have a favorite recording?

Chris: Its hard to say, but I really like "paradox of time"

6. Is the gas mask soldier your mascot?

Chris: yeah he is our mascot

7. You can definitely here a German Thrash influence like Sodom and Destruction. Could you tell the readers some other bands that influence you?

Chris: Coroner, Slayer, Sepultura back when they were thrash. The lists goes on.

8. What gear do you use?

Chris: I use an Ampeg BA-115 and Schecter Stilleto 4 string bass.

9. The L.A Thrash scene seems strong to me. Ironically I haven’t seen any bands or at least good ones from the Bay Area. What’s your opinion on the L.A Thrash Scene and the Thrash Metal scene in general?

Chris: The L.A. Thrash is awesome! There's alot of youngsters that are getting into thrash metal and it keeps growing and growing. And overall I believe the thrash scene is very well alive and doing well.
10. Is there a band you absolutely hate?
 Chris: Yes,and its slipknot! Hahaha

Any last words for the fans??

I'd like to say to our fans, thanks for supporting us! See you all in the pit! Cheers to all of you!

Thrill Warriors interview

Thrill Warriors is a Heavy Metal band from Sweden. They put out some awesome Heavy Metal!! Here's an interview I got with their drummer Luvan Loud!

Thanks Luvan for doing this interview. Can you give us some history on how the Thrill Warriors formed?

Sure, Thrill Warriors was formed back in the spring of 2007. Mini (Moa, previous bass player) and I had been in a band together before this and early 2007 we started talking about forming a new one. Fight and Jail joined during the spring and when Sigge Strong joined on vocals later that year the first line-up was formed. Since then we've gone through a few line-up changes.
Linda has been with us on bass now for 3 years and Katrina Kaos and Maximus (stand-in guitar for Fight) joined us when we left Växjö for Gothenburg earlier this year.

2. When I listen to the Thrill Warriors it definitely sounds like a Hard Rock/Traditional Metal but I hear some Rock N’ Roll influence would you agree?

Yeah, some of our old songs are very rock n roll for sure and we do love bands like the Hellacopters, Gluecifer and Nashville Pussy, but lately we've strayed from that. With different line-ups comes different influences and this is by far the heaviest line-up of Thrill Warriors the world has seen.

3. How’s has been the recording for the new demo?

The recording of it went just fine. Well, except for when we got interrupted by flooding... Sweden can be very rainy. What's been taking time is the mixing process but we hope to be finished with that soon. One song at least is finished and will be revealed to the public quite soon in fact.

4. Where you in any other bands before the Thrill Warriors?

I sang in a few bands before Thrill Warriors but only played drums in one; a really, really bad punk band, haha, but we sure had fun! Rehearsal was more laughing than actually playing anything.

5. Why do you think some people underestimate all girl Heavy Metal bands?

I think those would be the same people who underestimate women in general. I find it absolutely pointless focusing on gender when it comes to music. Nobody ever calls Judas Priest a "boy band".
Heavy Metal and Hard rock is a lot about sex, sure, but you don't play it with your sex. We're not a "girl band", we're a heavy metal band.

6. Can we expect a full length within a few years?

Definitely! Up until quite recently we haven't felt ready for a full length but we're talking about it. It's mostly a money issue right now.

7. Last question. Why do mustaches infatuate the Thrill Warriors?

The grass is always greener on the other side... We can't grow 'em but we wish we could because well, a good mustache is badass!

Thank you very much for doing this interview. Any Last words for the fans??

Stay heavy
Stay proud
Ever faithful
Ever Loud

Midnight -- Complete & Total Hell

This CD has most of the songs recorded before Satanic Royalty minus some cover songs. I have been listening to Midnight for quite some time but purposely I didn’t listen to all their songs because I wanted to be surprised and here material I have never heard. Once I put it on the mayhem and just begun. The intro song kinda reminds me of something Venom would do and then you get with all hail hell which really reminds me of Motorhead. Servant of no one is another great song it kinda reminds me of Bathory. Unholy and Rotten is one of my favorites really great song. My favorite is Black Rock N’ Roll is my favorite it’s kinda of an anthem that’s gets you singing along.

Musically it's very inspired by Motorhead and Venom and you will hear some influences like Hellhammer at times but it seem's to be mostly inspired by raw heavy metal like tank ect..

Lyrically it’s reminds me of Venom but with more themes of death, metal and women. With songs like Endless Slut, and Vomit Queens don't take it to serious lyrically. The last song is Berlin is Burning and a great song to end with. All the songs are great and none of the songs get boring you can easily differentiate between the songs of you are a fan of Motorhead and the first wave of black metal go and buy this now!! Midnight is the greatest mix of  Motorhead Rock N' Roll and Venom Black Metal, pure evil!! IT'S BLACK ROCK N' ROLL!!

Highlights: I Am Violator, Hot Graves, Unholy and Rotten, Black Rock N' Roll, Endless Slut, Berlin is burning and lord in chains.

10/10
